Dr. Steve Holowinski

Dr. Holowinski was born and raised in Johnson City. Even as a young child Dr. Steve knew that he wanted to help animals and had the dream of becoming a veterinarian.

In 1985 Dr. Steve graduated from Ross University and then went to Oklahoma State Veterinary School and Guelph.
After graduation Dr. Steve, his wife Debbie and their Doberman son "Dino" joined a modern multi-hospital practice near Hartford, CT. Then in 1990 they moved back to the Triple Cities area to start a family. In October 1999, he opened Johnson City Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Steve enjoys spending his spare time (what little he has while not working) sending time with his wife Debbie and their 2 human children Joshua and Stephanie and also their 4 legged children.

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Shanna started working at the Johnson City Veterinary Hospital in October of 2000, after graduating from high school. Later she went to SUNY Delhi and graduated in 2005 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. When she is not working at the hospital she can be found at the B.C. Humaine Society and fostering dogs. When she has free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and of course her house full of pets.

Ashley is proud to part of the staff at the Johnson City Veterinary Hospital since 2011. She considers all of her co-workers part of her extended family. She graduated from Sidney High School in 2003 and later went to SUNY Delhi for the Veterinary Science program. In May of 2011 she graduated from Delhi with her Associates degree and later that summer took her National board exams to become a licensed veterinary technician. When she is not working she enjoys her evenings with her family and her dog Toby.

Ashley would like to thank Dr. and Mrs. Holowinski for taking a risk and hiring her right out of school and is looking forward to many more years of getting to know the staff, clients and of course the pets.

Victoria graduated from Maine Endwell High School, pursuing her dream as a veterinary technician by majoring in veterinary science and SUNY Delhi. She graduated in 2012. She joined the Johnson City Veterinary team in 2014. In her spare time she enjoys playing violin, reading books and spending time with her family, two legged and four legged alike.

Office Staff

Practice Manager

Debbie has worked at the hospital since it opened in October 1999. She is the practice manager for the hospital but she also fills in as receptionist when needed.

When not at the office she enjoys spending time with her family and her three cats.

Mel has been with the Johnson City Veterinary Hospital since 2007. She has always had a love for animals and working here she has been able to develop a bond with the owners and their 4 legged family members. She has a deep passion for older pets. Knowing that sh can help make their last years filled with quality and dignity makes it worth every minute.
Support Staff/ Receptionist

Kate went to CV high school and then graduated from BCC in 2011 majoring in social sciences. She has been doing reception work for 6 years, following her passion for pets and switching from people to animals when she joined our team in 2013. She enjoys spoiling her cat and playing drums in her spare time.
Veterinary Student

Joshua graduated from Binghamton University and works at the hospital when not in school. He is a Biology major and is currently at Cornell veterinary school.

When not at work or school he enjoys playing video games and going to Yankee games.
Support Staff

Stephanie currently attends Ithaca College majoring in Occupational Therapy and works at the hospital during summer break and when she comes home from college.

When she's not working, she enjoys shopping and spending time with her friends and family.
